Betz Golden and I have joined together for a pocket letter swap. In this post I’ll share How to make a Gypsy Soul Pocket letter using Calico Collage Gypsy Love digital journal kit and more.

When Betz contacted me and asked if I would like to do a pocket letter swap I said yes. It was so fun to make this for her!

Here is a video showing How to make a Gypsy Soul Pocket letter.

For my images, I used the journal kit from Calico Collage Gypsy Soul. These images are sized to make a 5 x 7 journal. But I selected the option to print four of the journal pages on one sheet of paper at a time. Doing this created little images that fit an ATC size card – 2.5 inches wide by 3.5 inches tall.

Once all of the images were trimmed along with cards to attach I proceeded to use Distress Inks to add color to the edges.

I love adding sewing touches to projects and decided to use a zig zag stitch over some gold ribbon.

Other things I added, some large rhinestones some paper flowers by Prima and Of course Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists. The shimmer on the images just makes me smile.

I also used some washi tape to add a little interest. The 7Gypsies truck is from 7Gypsies as I’m on the design team and I got one of these back in January when the new Architextures were released. These 3D stickers are awesome!

A small tag charm was made using metal tape, alcohol inks and some bits of images and paper. I love the gypsy soul feel of it.

Adding bits of washi tape, fancy trim and other items to this pocket letter was so much fun. I knew that Betz would be able to take this apart and use all the elements in other projects or she could keep the cards in the pocket letter.
