Sharing a Jane Austen Junk Journal made with Calico Collage digital images and items from my stash. This beautiful journal is a perfect gift for the Jane Austen fan in your life.
The journal measures 5.5 inches wide, 7.25 inches tall and has a 1.75 inch spine. For the cover foundation is canvas over chipboard with cardstock and the digital images sewn on top. Inside are 3 signatures of 11 sheets of paper each for a grand total of 132 pages.
This journal has a tie closure, made with hardware and pink organza ribbon. There are pockets on both the inside front and back cover. A great place to add little notes, in the back pocket is a few extra bits I didn’t use in the journal.

Throughout this journal, there are many tuck spots and pockets that hold journal cards. So many journal cards that it makes this journal fat!
There is a tutorial on one of the pages I made using Brutus Monroe Stamps. You can see it over on the Brutus Monroe Blog. Inside are three of these page sets in this Jane Austen Junk Journal.
Love the Calico Collage images that I used in this Jane Austen Junk Journal. For this junk journal, I used the following downloads
First the Jane Austen, Printable, Journal Kit
Second the Jane Austen, Printable, Digital Tags these look like mason jars
Third the Jane Austen, Printable Ephemera, ATC size journal cards.
I decided that I wanted to use more fabric in this journal than I have before. Several of the pages have fabric over the edges attached to pages from an old book to make pockets or tuck spots. The texture of the fabric and the paper sewed together makes me happy.
Most of the Jane Austen Junk Journal has been sprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists. This is my favorite way to add color to blank pages. I don’t use the coffee or tea method to dye paper. I like the bright colors that you can get with the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists. Don’t you think these look beautiful?
