The Friendly Junk Journal People Facebook group did a napkin swap a while back. This prompted me to create a Napkin Junk Journal Page Tutorial to show how to use all those wonderful napkins. This Napkin Junk Journal Page is a great mixed media project, using the napkin, acrylic paint and Tattered Angels Glam and Glimmer Mists.

Once all the supplies were gathered I set up the camera to record the process. Here is the video I made for the Napkin Junk Journal Page.

The one tip that I feel is the most helpful is to use a fresh glue stick and apply it to the paper where you want the napkin to be applied. Go beyond where the napkin will be attached so that the whole edge gets adhered. Glue Sticks dry clear and they don’t leave a tacky residue so don’t worry about getting too much.

Try not to get any glue on the napkin, only on the page you are attaching and go slow to lay the napkin down. Try not to rub the napkin but pat it down lightly and press it onto the paper.

Creating a Napkin Junk Journal Page is a great way to use those beautiful napkins. I love how the napkin becomes one with the journal page and looks like it was printed instead of adhered.

Do you have a large stash of napkins? My stash isn’t huge, but I pick up a few here and there or I get a few as gifts. Hopefully, now I’ve given you another idea of how to use those beautiful napkins.

Keeping following along to see more of the elements used in the Fairy Garden Junk Journal I’ve made.

Make sure to check out the Friendly Junk Journal People Facebook group. Of course, you are welcome to join the Friendly Junk Journal People Facebook group. The group is growing daily and we are a friendly group willing to help each other and encourage each other.

Here is my shop, I have a lot of items uploaded and add more weekly.

My hope is that I have inspired you to look at those papers in your stash and make your own junk journal.
