One of my good friends Betz Golden came up with the idea of using retro art supplies from before 2008. This prompted us to do a blog hop and mine is Remember When Using Retro Art Supplies for Journal Cards. It was fun looking through my stash to find items that I knew were from before 2008 (more than ten years old) for this project.

For my Remember When Using Retro Art Supplies for Journal Cards I used a scrapbook kit from TLC (Top Line Creations) that was from 2005. I was a demonstrator for them for a few years and have a bunch of these kits, that I never used! Also found edger scissors that make the paper look like a postage edge.
Here is my video tutorial showing the Remember When Using Retro Art Supplies for Journal Cards.

Once I had the supply list it was time to figure out what was going to make and I decided to make ATC journal cards for the Remember When Using Retro Art Supplies for Journal Cards blog hop.
First I cut the red cardstock down to 2.5 x 3.5 inch. Then I proceeded to cut the pattern paper and white cardstock just slightly smaller than 2.5 x 3.5 inches.
One some of the journal cards I used old dictionary pages, I thought it gave it a vintage feel.
Two heart punches used with Red Glitter Cardstock helped to add a small accent without a lot of bulk.
Creating words on my Silhouette and keeping a stash of these handy helped to make this project go fast. It was easy to add a little word to each one.
There were enough supplies that I made 11 journal cards with the supplies. Making these Remember When Using Retro Art Supplies for Journal Cards was a lot of fun! It has made me want to pull other kits out and see what I can make.
