For the 8th Day of the 12 days of Junk Journal Gift Ideas, Linda shows us howto use junk mail postcards, like an over sized postcard to make a few journal cards with a postcard look
After gluing some mixed media scraps on to the oversized junk mail postcard, Linda used archival ink and stamped the Postcard word and the Shabby Stitches rubber stamps were used, with a butterfly cube stamp that was painted with tattered angels glimmer mists. Give your postcards a finished look by distressing the edges with a distress ink.
For this postcard journal card, Linda used the shabby stitches, Flowering Branch, and postal cube rubber stamp around the edges of the post card. Linda added a butterfly image by Calico Collage that she distressed.
Using your rubber stamps that you have, think about using them on the edges of your pieces to create areas of interest.
For this journal card, Linda used the Memorandum rubber stamp from the Postal cube set, along with the Flowering Branch rubber stamps and placed a butterfly Cube Rubber stamp image.
Taking your junk mail to create your post card journal cards doesn’t have to be hard, use up those scraps and get out your rubber stamps and before you know it you will have some beautiful journal cards!
What junk mail do you have laying around that you could use to create your own postcard journal cards?
