Still working on the #useitupjuly challenge. Today’s project is a Pin Up Girl Twinchies Tutorial. What are Twinchies? These are two-inch square works of art. These works can be traded as they are or you can use these to embellish projects. Mine are now altered paperclips.
In this Pin Up Girl Twinchies Tutorial video, you will see the transformation of ugly scrapbook paper into something beautiful.

The method I used for the Pin Up Girl Twinchies Tutorial was pasting other papers on top of the ugly scrapbook paper. Using the glue pot and a foam brush I applied glue to the page and then adhered scraps of book pages and hymnal pages.
Dry the page and apply random swipes of Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam. The Glimmer Glam adds a touch of color and glitter to the project.
Sewing around the bits of paper adds another detail to the paper.
Cut the page into two-inch squares and these become the base to decorate.
Calico Collage Pin Up Girl Domino digital images are 1 x 2 inches and fit perfectly on the two-inch squares. Distress inks are perfect for finishing the edges of the image and giving a vintage look. Adhere the image on three sides to leave room for a pocket on one side.
Add scraps of lace and trim for a pretty touch. The stamped postcard is the perfect size for the little pocket.
Didn’t these turn out super cute? I hope that this Pin Up Girl Twinchies Tutorial has inspired you to use up those ugly scrapbook papers, just give them a facelift. 😉
