Supplies used in the Shabby Chic Cat Tag Tutorial.
Shabby Chic Cat Tag TutorialTo begin this Shabby Chic Cat Tag Tutorial we start with cutting a 4 x 6 ivory cardstock for the tag base. Make the tag by cutting the top corners off to make a tag shape.

Choose a scrapbook paper and cut 3.75 x 5.75 inches for the topper. Cut the corners to match the tag base. Apply Distress ink on the scrapbook paper and the tag base edges. Adhere scrapbook to tag base. Sew around the tag base with zig-zag stitch using a sewing machine.

Select a cat image and cut a card base 2.5 x 3.5 inches. Apply distress inks around the edges of these two pieces and adhere together. Sew around the edge with zig-zag stitching.

Layer a doily on the tag, then the cat image card that was just created.

On top of the layers add a cat silhouette. Select a word or phrase that fits your mood and layer this on a scrap of the scrapbook paper.

Apply Tulip Dimensional Glitter Paint to the cat and flowers.

Punch a hole in the top and thread the strip of fabric through. Tie a knot.

Create an eyelash yarn bow. Adhere the bow using hot glue. Place a white paper flower on top of the eyelash bow.
