Day 18 of 30 Days of Thankful 2018 journal prompt. What voyage are you most grateful to have taken? Being able to travel even if it is just outside our own little town to see the neighboring town is good for us. We can see how others live if we only look.

The greatest explorer on this earth never takes voyages as long as those of the man who descends to the depth of his heart. ~Julien Green
My journal entry for Days 18 of 30 Days of Thankful 2018.
The numerous vacations I’ve had over the past years hold many great memories.
The trip to Hawaii where we stayed on Maui for four days, then a cruise around the islands was one of my favorites. My best friend was able to go with me and my family. We had so many fun adventures on this cruise. Like driving up mount Haleakala and back down with an empty tank of gas! We barely made it to a fuel station on fumes! Good times spent with family and friends.
Many of my friends ask how I’m able to take vacations so often. We plan vacations about a year in advance. Decide on a place and then figure out what the budget needs to be and get it booked. Several of the cruises we have taken we paid monthly payments until it was paid for in full. Some we got for amazing deals, like the time we went on a cruise for $250 each for a 7-day cruise.
Plan a vacation today, to have something amazing to look forward to doing soon.
