To begin the Admit One Altered Paperclip Tutorial, select a book page. It can be just about any size. When it is folded into fourths that will be the finished size of the altered paperclip. I tend to use pages that are at least 5 x 7 in size. Fold in half from top to bottom. Then fold in half again. That will be the base.
Apply Red Acrylic paint to one panel of the folded book page. Allow to dry. Glue the page in half so it won’t curl.
Stamp one of the Shabby Stitches on the edges to give the appearance of stitches using black ink.
Attach a large paperclip and glue the book page around the paperclip.
Apply distress ink, walnut stain around the edges of the paperclip base. Select images from the Radiant Red Creative Box digital download and apply distress inks around the edges. Adhere the Admit One Ticket on top of some eyelash yarn in the center of the altered paperclip base.
Select words or word phrases and apply black soot distress ink to the edges, this is to cover up the white edges of the paper. Adhere using the Best Glue Ever using the Large No Clog Writing Cap. Add a few drops of glue for sequins and a bow.
Using Embellie Gellie pick up sequins and place in the glue dots. Tie a bow and press into the glue.
That is it the Admit One Altered Paperclip Tutorial is done and you have now made a super cute altered paperclip. How many will you create using this technique?
