I’m so in love with this Unicorn Magic Junk Journal. Hopefully you love it too. I used the Calico Collage Digital journal kit Unicorn Magic to make this journal along with stamps, scrapbook papers and the mop up pages when I use Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists.

There is so much beautiful color throughout the journal. If you are a pink and purple fan, then this is a perfect color combo for you. Because doesn’t everyone love Unicorns?! Ever since I was a young girl I have loved Unicorns.

When Norella the owner and creator of Calico Collage said she was making a Unicorn Kit I was super excited! I think I responding in all caps that I loved the designs.. Working with these images has given me such joy!

The journal measures 5.5 in x 7.5 in. with a 1.5 in. spine. It has three signatures of 10 sheets of paper which make 120 pages to journal or add items. There are 9 different altered paper clips throughout. I made eight pockets out of pages from old books and decorated these pockets with various colors of washi tape. Pink lace seam binding ties the journal closed.

Here is a video flip through of the Unicorn Magic Junk Journal.

When I spray items with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists I line a box with a sheet of paper. This sheet of paper is an old letterhead that belonged to my husband. The company logo changed and they told him to throw out the paper and they sent new paper to him. Well, I knew that was a waste of paper so I kept it and I used it as a mop up sheet.

The results of using this old letterhead to soak up the glimmer mists make a beautiful paper that is perfect for pages in a junk journal. I trimmed off the letterhead log as best I could. When some of the images remain I find clever ways to cover it up. In the Unicorn Magic Junk Journal, I created tuck spots. Some fo these tuck spots are long strips of paper. Some tuck spots are just enough to cover the corner.

On many of the pages, I used stamps to add more interest. I love looking at different images and colors in a journal. Adding stamps throughout helps to not leave any blank pages.
