The cover for the Live Creating a Day Dreaming Junk Journal was made before the stream and will be a tutorial offered during the Virtual Junk Journal Camp Retreat in June then later it will be on my YouTube Channel. I love this style of cover for the journal inserts as I can lay a journal flat to write!
The first journal insert was made during the livestreatm. For this journal I wanted it to have several pages for writing. Using various pieces of junk was a great way to add writing space.
New in this Creative Kit is chipboard laser cut items. The frame was cut with the laser and then I used acrylic craft paint to change the color. Then it was adhered using the Best Glue Ever. The texture on this chipboard piece is wonderful.
The page above is another tutorial that will be a part of the Virtual Junk Journal Camp Retreat in June. Love using my gel prints and mixed media elements inside junk journals.
The images from the Day Dreaming Kit are beautiful. Vivid colors that draw you into the journal and encourage you to stop and smell the flowers.
It is possible to have mixed media with vintage images in a junk journal. It’s one of the things I love most about junk journals, there is no wrong way to create. Just do it and have fun!
