Using the mixed media pages I made for the Mixed Media Frankenpages a few weeks ago and other supplies, I show how to make a Mini Frankenpages Junk Journal measuring 5.25 x 4 inches in size with 8 pages and a few journal cards. Also featured are a few images from Calico Collage Day Dreaming digital journal kit. The images in this kit are beautiful, some remind me of an old English Garden.
In the video, I show how to make the Mini Frankenpages Junk Journal.

Once the Frankenpages are created it is easy to make a Mini Frankenpages Junk Journal. Since I knew the Frankenpages were 8 x 10.5 the measurements of the Mini Frankenpages Junk Journal would be 4 x 5.25. The pages inside would be slightly smaller.
The pages I created were from old book pages and I used the same method as the Mixed Media Frankenpages to create the pages but didn’t use copy paper as the base, but another mixed media Frankenpage. There are three Mixed Media Frankenpages that make this journal with a total of 8 pages.
A tool I used for creating the Mini Frankenpages Junk Journal was the gluing helper. There are many versions on the web, mine was a small little container that I cut kitchen sponges to fit (three layers of sponge). Added water and glue and let it sit overnight. I add glue every time I’m done using it so that it will be ready for the next time.
For the images, I used Calico Collage Day Dreaming Digital journal kit. On the computer, I told it to print the corner elements page at 5 x 7 and that gave it the perfect size to fit inside this Mini Frankenpages Junk Journal.
ScraPerfect’s products really do come in handy when assembling this Mini Frankenpages Junk Journal. The No Clog Writing Tip helps to add a touch of sparkle with Tulip Dimensional Paint. The small tip on the Best Glue Ever helps to get just the perfect amount of glue for the project.
Embellie Gellie is a wonderful tool to help with perfect placement of small items. It is easy to use to add flatback rhinestones or little punched shapes
One of the reasons I love Junk Journals is because I can do anything I like. If I want to do mixed media I can. Or if I’m in a vintage mood I can make it very vintage. There are no rules in making junk journals. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!
