For this Sunflower Yellow Junk Journal Page Tutorial, Start by using the technique from the Napkin Embellishments Tutorial. Apply a layer of napkin using a glue stick to a used manila envelope. Sew lace on the right edge of the page. This edge will become an opening for a pocket. Add decorative stitching to the other side.
Create a fold out pocket for the front of the page using the Mixed Media Frankenpages Method. Use an oversized postcard as the base – usually 6 by 11 inches in size and apply the mixed media Franeknpages method to both sides of the postcard.
Paint a coffee sleeve a pretty yellow using acrylic paint. Add stitches to add interest. Stamp with a background stamp and apply flowers and words. Attach the coffee sleeve to the bottom portion of the fold out pocket. Insert a folder from Calico Collage Sunny Morning digital journal kit. Apply distress inks around the edges of all the pieces before attaching to the page.
Select one of the images from the Sunny Morning digital kit that has an area that can be torn to create a pocket. Either print the image on cardstock or paste the printed copy page paper to another piece of paper for a thicker page. Apply distress inks to the edges using a blending tool. Adhere the left side of the torn page up to the fold. Leaving the far left panel loose.
Use the Perfect Crafting Pouch over the glued area just in case there is sticky residue. Wipe off the powder left behind using the Perfect Cleaning Cloth. On the left side of the image sew decorative stitching. Next, position the torn piece and sew page attaching the new pocket.
Apply Tulip Dimensional Glitter Paint over the sunflower images, using a paintbrush to spread out the paint in a thin coat. Allow the glitter paint to dry.
Add postcards, tags and journal cards to the pockets and the page is finished.
