Sharing a Halloween Altered Paperclip Tutorial with you today. During the live YouTube video on Monday, August 27 I was asked to turn the projects into individual videos. This is the first one I’m sharing from the live event.

Supplies used for the Halloween Altered Paperclip Tutorial.

To begin this Halloween Altered Paperclip Tutorial select two book pages that measure 6 x 9 inches. Fold each book page in half and half again.

Spray each folded piece with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist through the Spider Web stencil. Mop up the excess spray with another book page. Could also spray one page and mop up with the other to get two different looks at one time. Add Maple Yellow after removing the stencil.

Unfold the book pages and adhere the first fold closed. Add a paperclip to the top edge and apply glue around the paperclip and the edges of the book page to close up the paperclip inside. Make sure to apply a lot of glue around the paperclip so it won’t come out.

Apply distress ink, black soot to the edges of the folded piece.

Select images from the Hallowed Gothic digital journal kit. Trim down and cut mats for each image using cardstock. Apply distress ink to all the edges of the images and mats. Adhere the images to the cardstock.

Using a ruler and a black marker apply black ink to the edges by running the marker down the edge of a ruler. This will frame each piece to look like there is a second piece of paper in the mat.

Apply the Best Glue ever on three sides of the bigger images to create a pocket. Place journal card inside pocket (make sure the glue is dry before you push all the way into the pocket).

Place glue on the back side of the spider and bat images and adhere to the altered paperclip.

Wasn’t that an easy Halloween Altered Paperclip Tutorial? There is no limit to how these can be made, choose things you already have or use my supply list to collect all the same items.
