The method for making this one sheet mini junk journal is very easy. Take the 12 x 12 inch sheet of paper and score at the 3, 6, 9 inch marks, rotate 90 degrees and score at the 3, 6, 9 inch marks. Then slightly crease the page so you can see the sore marks.
Make a cut down the center score mark and stop 3 inches from the edge. Rotate paper 180 degrees and cut the outside two score marks and stop 3 inches from the edge. You will have a zig-zag looking sheet of paper.
Next, fold the paper in an accordion fashion until the pages have been formed. Using the Best Glue ever adhere the pages together. Keeping in mind those pages you want to have pockets, leave the top open to slide a journal card inside.
Once the pages have adhered create the cover using scraps of paper cut to 2.75 inches square. Apply distress inks to the book and cover. Wrap one time around the journal with yarn and tie a bow. This will be the closure. Apply the Best Glue Ever to the cover pieces and adhere to cover over the yarn.
Cut a 1 inch by 3 inch piece of paper to cover the spine of the journal. Adhere using the Best Glue Ever. Once all of the gluing is complete use the Perfect Crafting Pouch to get rid of any sticky areas. Wipe with the Perfect Cleaning Cloth to remove any excess powder.
Decorate the one sheet mini junk journal to your liking. For mine, I used scraps of book pages, images from Calico Collage Drag and scraps of cardstocks.
The one-sheet mini junk journal has 18 pages including the covers for you to decorate and depending on how you created the pages could have 7 pockets.
When you get started making these No Sew Junk Journals you won’t be able to stop as these turn out so cute!
